💭 Problem

What is preventing the average individual from living more sustainably?

How do we break down the economical barriers of living sustainably?

How can we provide immediate gratification as an incentive for eco-friendly habits?

👀 Context

What is the current state of affairs that will help us better understand the problem space? What's working well/not working?

Not everyone can afford to live completely zero-waste or completely sustainably. For example, fast fashion is often villainized for being harmful to our environment, but sustainable clothing is often expensive and inaccessibly for the average person. Additionally, not everyone has the time to research information about climate change thoroughly, or to look for eco-friendly alternatives to their daily routine. In the end, many people decide that it isn’t worth changing their lives for an impact that they cannot directly see. Why should they stop buying an item they depend on? Why should they disrupt their daily drive to work for public transportation? Why should they carry an extra tote bag when they might not even need it? Why should they live more sustainably if they can’t directly see the benefits of doing so?

🎯 Goals

What goal do users/business have? (ie. Increase conversion rate, bring clarity to reduce support tickets)

Help users build eco-friendly habits through the incentive of not breaking their dare streaks. Provide daily dares that won’t permanently change the routines that they are used to, but rather offer the chance to experiment with something new.
